DHL Global Forwarding Reviews

What is it like working at DHL Global Forwarding?

It is hard work that is not always appreciated in the end.
Logistics Specialist in Orlando:
Pros: Helping move humanitarian, medical, or general supplies to areas needing them the most
Cons: No matter how much work is put in it is never enough. We made over budget last year in a pandemic and were told we could have done better and our goals for this year were just raised. We are expected to do our normal job, now we are asked do cold call and sales, and we are expected to also learn practice and implement a brand new shipping system with no extra time or compensation and all must be done concurrently to meet upper managements deadline. Desk level has no say in business decisions and suffers from top down business model that uses people and replaces anyone
Busy, demanding but rewarding.
Freight Forwarder in Dublin:
Pros: Relaxed/casual atmosphere
Cons: Progression is sidewards rather than upwards.
Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist in Columbia:
There is no opportunity for advancement in West Columbia, SC, and you don't get paid enough to save up enough money to move to a port city. The training is a joke, and there are many slack employees that are coasting at their jobs simply because they have worked for DHL for 30 years.
A lot of responsibility with little to no support.
Import Coordinator in East Moline:
Pros: learning more about the industry
Cons: lack of support
Challenging but satisfactory.
Air Export Agent in Johannesburg:
Pros: There's opportunities to grow and travel
Cons: There seems to be some sort of inequality
