Cisco Systems Inc Reviews

What is it like working at Cisco Systems Inc?

Great place to work.
Software Engineer in Spring:
Pros: Flexibility, tuition reimbursement
Cons: The software we work on is not innovative or fun. Telecommunications is a necessary field but not exciting
A solid job, wish I wasn't a contractor.
Database Analyst in Raleigh:
Pros: It's a fun and challenging project I have to work on. My manager is mostly laid back and very open to ideas and criticism, and in addition very supportive and validating.
Cons: The open-endedness of being a 12 month+ or indefinite contractor is somewhat frustrating. It would be nice to know for sure if I did good work that they would hire me on permanently. But I guess that's just not the way they operate anymore.
This is so great.
Consulting Engineer in Raleigh-Durham:
Pros: I liked my travel schedule
Cons: I don't have enough time for training during typical work hours rather than during hours outside of work
Channel Marketing Manager:
I specifically work for Umbrella (the cloud security group) at Cisco, and it's been an incredible experience. Despite being a Top Fortune Company globally, we still have the tight knit, startup feel. Team members are given lots of responsibility and freedom to build, but have support from all the intertwining teams that their role interacts with - nobody is "off limits" or out of reach if you have questions or need help with a project.
NPI at Cisco.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager in Los Gatos:
Pros: Free to come and go at will, focus on results, good people
Cons: Normal working hours but spread throughout entire day due to international business
Android Software Developer:
Experience wasn't good. Not a great place to learn new technologies. They use legacy codes for most of their running projects. Work-life balance is great. Compensation is decent. Management is nice.
Great Learning.
Customer Support Engineer in Bangalore:
Pros: Great Learning Superb facilities
Cons: Management and their trust
