The Pay is Low, Retention is Poor.
Convenience Store Manager in Detroit:
Pros: Close to home
Cons: They pay far less than other similar jobs in the area. Because of this retention is low and it is a revolving door of hiring and training people. Hours offered are at a bare minimum and many shifts are run by just one person which is unsafe.
It is the same as being a sales associate only more work with daily operations.

Just glad I have a job.
Cashier in Alice:
Pros: I like socializing, meeting new people, seeing the usuals, carrying a speed conversions, and helping my customers solve an issue they may have.
Cons: I put so much of myself into my work and customers. There is no practical praise for the work done. You're pretty much invisible and working alone or with people who have nothing but negative things to say. There are no raises for your performances there is especially no team at this location.
Stressed to the max, over worked, under funded.
