Good pay, dirty atmosphere.
Mechanical Technician in Seattle:
Pros: Good schedule, flexible
Cons: Crh taking away benefits after purchase of Ashgrove Cement (i.e 401k match greatly reduced, vesting schedule now 5 yrs. vs 3yrs.
High stress, fair pay.

Pros: People at the local company
Cons: High stress, pay is below average to fair, could be better, to many policies

Pros: Large corporation that does offer ability for new roles and positions if one is interested in pursuing
Cons: It’s a slow moving corporation that doesn’t react quickly

Very large international corporation but operates with a local focus. Culture varies greatly within each business unit depending on division, group and local operating company. Pay and benefits are average within the industry.
