Best Buy Reviews

What is it like working at Best Buy?

Asset Protection Specialist in Kenosha:
Woking an assets protection with Best Buy is different I think to most retail AP jobs because Best Buy essentially wants you to also be a greeter and that leads most customers to believe that you ARE a greeter. Leads to a lot of misunderstandings since you aren't trained to know about Geek Squad or where every little thing is in the store or what part they need to by for their computer. "Sir, I'm with Asset Protection so I'm not sure how to answer that question for you. Please see one of our Blue Shirt Employees." is a phrase you will have to get very used to. Unfortunately, a lot of customers will not like this answer and their reactions can be quite explosive and frankly distracting since you should be focusing our surveillance and not customers. Management doesn't seem to want to take security or your job as an AP very seriously.
Very laid back, not very hard work but requires a lot of observation and monitoring as well as good communication.
