Advantage Reviews
What is it like working at Advantage?
Overworked, underappreciated, undermanned, and aimless.
Demand Planner in San Diego:
Pros: Fully remote organization with no physical offices
Cons: The organization is the definition of too heavy - too many people up too with not enough hands on the bottom to carry out the workload. There is very little support from the higher ups with no cost of living or even percentage raises in the past two years. My team has lost 9 people and gained 1 in the past two years leaving us at a net loss of 8. Despite this our productivity and output is supposed to remain the same despite the reduced manpower. It’s truly backwards. Every time we get an update from corporate we’re constantly told the dire straits we are in and then just given an “atta boy” to come us motivated. There has been much improvement in transparency from the higher ups but there seems to be little opportunity to move upward in the organization. It seems whenever you enter the management ranks a target is painted on your back. To almost everyone I’ve spoken to, the general mentality is keep your head down, keep your mouth shut, and just try to keep your head above water.
Overworked, underappreciated, and aimless.
Demand Planner in San Diego:
Pros: 100% remote work with no physical office
Cons: High turnover rate, in less than 2 yea hrs there were 3-4 different org charts put forth. In that same amount of time my team has lost 9 people and had 1 new hire who I know is actively looking for another role. There is a lack of guidance, direction, and oversight. It is pure chaos. And not the good fun kind.
Starting wage=final wage.
Merchandiser in Florida:
Pros: Being able to afford food most days
Cons: With 5 years in the field I'm paid an average of $20k a year less than a new-hire with no experience, no tools, and no professionalism
Extremely stressful.
Director of Activities, Assisted Living in Rochester:
Pros: My staff
Cons: Attitude of nurses and cna’s. So many residents have extreme behavioral problems. Feels like it’s just heads in beds. It’s run by a corporation and all they do is push paper work and homework in you.
Challenging work, good team, pay could use improvement.
Application Developer in Boise:
Pros: Working with new technology
Cons: Corporate bureaucracy
New challenges daily and when you succeed at them it is very rewarding.
Marketing Director in St. Petersburg:
Pros: Helping homeowners save thousands each year and making our planet and cleaner place
Cons: Procedures on certain issue are not done in a timely manner holding up money in the pipeline.
Over worked-Under paid-Taken Advantage of.
Retail Sales Representative in Westfield:
Pros: Solo work, ability to make decision based on need.
Cons: Pay of mileage and use of personal car is not on par with other companies- Increase in work expectations and pressure to meet quotas has turned this into a sales job- without a sales salary- Rules change like the weather and more and more pressure is put on reps to pick up costs associated with the job- travel pay is a joke and wear and tear on car causes most people to leave and work min-wage job with less aggravation- the hourly pay after deducting the cost to operate car used for work tends to be less than min wage in most states- turn over is high-
