Northrop Grumman Corporation Reviews

What is it like working at Northrop Grumman Corporation?

Budding Project Manager.
System Integration Engineer in Campbell:
Pros: Exciting opportunities and great projects with a massive real-world impact
Cons: The facilities are very old
Very limited career growth if u r female and non-Caucasian.
Staff Engineer in Redondo Beach:
Pros: Flex time
Cons: No pension, high deductible insurance, employees are treated like contractors w almost no benefits of value
Good and bad System Engineering here.
Staff Engineer in Redondo Beach:
Pros: Flex hours
Cons: Limited career growth after 40 if you aren’t in the good old boy network and it’s 2x as bad if you are a female
Good experience, but underwhelming rewards.
Principle User Experience Designer in Huntsville:
Pros: The challenges of working in very restrictive requirements and spaces. Creates opportunity to be creative in that sense but very restrictive.
Cons: The lack of recognition and unclear path forward for career development. My field (User Experience) is very new and under represented in our company. So many times we are simplified in our roles as "make it look good" designers and not for the work we desire to do. Create change and represent the user and what they need.
Great Place to Learn.
Propulsion Engineer in Redondo Beach:
Pros: Fast paced environment half of the time, interesting projects and programs, ample avenues for growth within the company, plenty of opportunities to move within the company
Cons: The company does not seem to value the IP that was gained when it was TRW, so a lot of the propulsion experience may be lost if the company doesn’t invest in itself with IRAD money to continue to foster and train engineers.
Don't use technical skills much.
Computer Systems Analyst in Baltimore:
Pros: I love my client.
Cons: Lack of transparency, conflicting policies, nepotism.
High expectations very competitive.
Senior Principal Engineer in San Diego:
Pros: Flex time
Cons: No recognition
