Idexx Laboratories, Inc. Reviews

What is it like working at Idexx Laboratories, Inc.?

Overall, not terrible.
Specimen Processor in Louisville:
Pros: The job opportunities when they're not extremely competitive, and that the company really is trying to better the increase the moral in the workplaces and looking into any and all dissatisfactions
Cons: The lack of collaboration between days and nights, and all the overflow of work into the dayshift that we are forced to take on almost every single day. Its more work than what we signed up for.
Demanding, not always rewarding.
Field Service Representative in Greenfield:
Pros: Autonomy, different day-to-day, benefits
Cons: Pay, middle management, corporate lifestyle
Hard labor with infectious waste.
Medical Laboratory Technician in Memphis:
Pros: You never have nothing to do.
Cons: No amount of work is ever good enough.
Stressful undervalued and over worked.
Production Specialist in Westbrook:
Pros: coworkers.
Cons: Lack of communication and degree of stress put on individuals that does not seem to be universal to everyone.
Rewarding and Challenging.
Support Engineer, Information Technology (IT) in Eau Claire:
Pros: I enjoy having the freedom to work projects and issues without micromanagement.
Cons: I am on a small team of 3 people and we tend to have to take on a lot of extra responsibility and work from many areas of the company.
Inside Sales Representative in Portland:
Mostly stress free but career development is a frustrating mess. Internal postings are plagued with soviet block system that plays ludicrous favoritism. The promotions in the inside sales team are supposed to be based on performance and "perception . Sadly the only consistency for promotions goes to whomever just had baby. Want to get promoted? Just have a your significant other pop out a kid, or get pregnant yourself. Easy peasy. Benefits such as pto , 401 k, and good insurance make up for the other frustrations.
Pretty good.
Technical Support Specialist in Eau Claire:
Pros: Low stress and good pay.
Cons: Call center work.
