What Will Help You Achieve Your Life Goals.
Administrative / Office Manager:
Make sure what ever career path you choose helps you meet the goals you have in life, because as you achieve your goals you will ultimately be happier. I have flexibility which is worth quite a bit to me so I can make sure to take care of the elderly in my family. But I also am the only one in the office to know how the whole place runs, so I get calls even if I am out of town on vacation. But it's ok because I am still able to work from the road if necessary and have flexibility. Ultimately I am very happy in my job and my family life. I am able to meet my goals. I love the customer/City Owners and Engineers I meet along the way that in a customer service driven industry make my day unique and fun. No two days are the same, phones, typing correspondence, placing orders, helping with payroll, processing bids, downloading project plans, child support, DOT, billing, setting up job sites, and running the forklift when orders come in. I have variety and flexibility - I love it.
