Is what I do worth it?
Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer:
Pros: Working with people on a consistent basis. Taking care of others and organizing information to be readily used by upper management. Understanding how my contributions work for the overall goals of the company.
Cons: Pay makes it difficult to earn anything more per year once you're hired. Didn't receive a salary bump after getting a promotion. Constant limbo with the company split occurring.

A Roller Coaster Overall.

Good Work Life Balance.
Program Project Manager:
Pros: It's a good learning experience working with the industry leader. There has been lot of churn in leadership, company focus, process, programs during recent times. Also, work life balance in the company is awesome and people are respectful and good to work with.
Cons: There is lot of bureaucracy and laid back attitude. The culture is changing but process need to improve and decision making capability has to be quick to compete in market
