GardaWorld Reviews

What is it like working at GardaWorld?

Could Be Better.
Teller in Butler:
Pros: Most coworkers are nice and team players.
Cons: No advancement. Tiny raises. Taken advantage of.
Low low pay.
Security Officer in Ottawa:
Pros: There is nothing I like about the company. The managers are shady and never have direct answers to questions. They get mad at other companies that pay better because they dont want to pay a livable wage.
Cons: Pay, upper management will tell you how important you are and that you're family while in the same breath telling you that you are replaceable. Its sickening and unprofessional.
Vehicle maintenance is extremely poor, it is not uncommon at all to have no heat in the winter, or AC in the summer. Oil leaks, bad brakes, and broken truck doors (and several other mechanical issues), can go untreated for years.
Armed Security Guard in Puyallup:
Pros: You never seem to stand still in this place, always a new customer to meet, or new road to travel.
Cons: The upper management of GardaWorld sell their product well, but do not think of how it effects individual branches. Constantly piling more customers/stops onto every route, with out hiring for new routes, or maintaining a similar pace with truck repairs. It feels like corporate is ready to you run you into the ground, and not care about it at all.
Security Guard:
Awful management, long hours and low pay. Do not waste your time at this company. Right now, they still owe me backpay from September to now. I've sent emails, and head office doesn't seem to care. Management won't honour my 2-week notice, either.
Another day another dollar literlly.
Security Guard in Toronto:
Pros: chance for overtime
Cons: the pay is low
Not great.
Security Supervisor in Vancouver:
Pros: The site I am at is good for the most part. Some of the people at the head office are nice.
Cons: Gardaworld bought Intercon Security and stripped away the benefits Intercon had provided. They also froze wages so for the first time ever no raise in 3 years. They are very cheap and hate to spend any money and will give you the runaround over OT . A lot of training was done away with.
