Youth Minister Reviews

What is it like working as a Youth Minister?

May 2022
Great Community to Build a Life.
Youth Minister in Oak Harbor:
Pros: Oak Harbor is a great size -- not too big and not too small. It offers basic shopping, dining, entertainment, etc. without the bustle of a large metro area like Seattle. But it's close enough to Seattle that additional opportunities can be sought out on occasion. The climate of Whidbey Island is ideal -- very temperate. The nature exploration options in the area are great. All around, Oak Harbor is a great place to live and work.
Cons: Being on an island, it takes just a little bit of a drive to get to the mainland and more options for stores, activities, etc.
March 2020
Great location.
Youth Minister in Phoenix:
Pros: The winters are mild and the desert scenery is beautiful.
Cons: The summers are unbearably hot.
November 2019
Meaningful.
Youth Minister in Grand Rapids:

Cons: All the paperwork that needs to be done
November 2019
Wonderful experience with youth and terrible experience with management.
Youth Minister in Greensboro:
Pros: Working with youth
Cons: Working under threat of being fired
July 2019
Great but not without its burdens.
Youth Minister in Sardinia:
Pros: The potential to make an impact on the community and individuals lives.
Cons: The lack of clarity in the organzation and the stress of not having simple organizational systems in place.
April 2019
About me not to me.
Youth Minister in Unionville:
Pros: Investing in students.
Cons: The people that are allowed to talk badly about me and cause problems.
December 2018
Aggravating but Rewarding.
Youth Minister in Johnson City:
Pros: I get to help people.
Cons: Upper management is extremely unorganized, and I don't feel that I'm paid fairly.
