April 2014
Wine Club Manager:
Pros: 1. The relationships I have with our wine club members. 2. People are happy 90% of the time that they talk to me. 3. Flexible schedule - no PTO but have ability to take vacations, long lunches, etc. 4. Low-stress. 5. Good office environment most of the time. 6. Deep discounts on good wine. 7. Have good relationships with the people that I work with. 8. Office has a full kitchen that we can use.
Cons: 1. Very low pay compared to other (larger) wineries. 2. No benefits. 3. No 401(k) 4. Sometimes co-workers bring their small children to work, who scream, run around, and take stuff off my desk. 5. No reviews. 6. Management talks bad about everyone that works here and tells everyone they "aren't doing good enough", but give us no way to improve and no examples of how to improve or what we are doing wrong. 7. No PTO. 8. Sometimes required to work overtime (weekends) but don't get overtime pay.
