Veterinary Technician Reviews

What is it like working as a Veterinary Technician?

September 2022
Poverty wages despite giant corporate profit margins.
Veterinary Technician in Pittsburgh:
Pros: My coworkers, being in general practice.
Cons: Upper management/corporate jacks the prices of severices and products way up, and we do not see any of the return on that despite the fact that we are the ones providing that service. It's incredibly frustrating giving your all, giving wonderful, knowledgeable care, and being paid the same as a sheetz employee. Also, the fact that my hospital manager has a 2022 designer car, and pushes so hard that they cannot pay us more. It doesn't make sense.
February 2022
Complicated. I love my job but dealing with the corporate company can be stressful.
Veterinary Technician in Birmingham:
Pros: The animals
Cons: Dealing with corporate. I have high expections to manage everything with little training
September 2021
Such a emotional, and physical straining job to be paid poorly.
Veterinary Technician in London:
Pros: Caring for animals is my passion
Cons: Poor Pay, and lack of authority/ control
September 2021
Wonderful team.
Veterinary Technician in El Paso:
Pros: I absolutely adore the team we have currently.
Cons: My only downside is, I should have advocated for myself a little more. Learning now, I am worth more compansation than what I originally agreed to. But I understand, in part that was my fault.
July 2021
Disappointing.
Veterinary Technician in Greer:
Pros: Using my skills as a trained technician
Cons: Constant pressure to do more and make more money.
April 2021
Torn.
Veterinary Technician in Baton Rouge:
Pros: I love what I do. This field is my passion.
Cons: They allow their practice managers to treat their employees like dirt. Always understaffed.
April 2021
It's ok, payscale is not right.
Veterinary Technician in Pinson:
Pros: I do enjoy the type of work I do.
Cons: The payscale is messed up and not fair.
