UX Designer Reviews

What is it like working as a UX Designer?

February 2016
My first year as a UX Designer.
UX Designer:
Pros: I like the team I work with. Everyone is friendly and easy to work with. I look forward to seeing my team members every day and seeing what they bring to the table. I love seeing my designs out in the real world. It's very liberating to know that millions of people access our website and mobile website on a day to day basis. I feel like what I do makes an impact. It also shows that my company trusts my professional opinion. I am honored to have such a great position here, especially after recently graduating. I like the flexibility of my work environment. I have the option to remote into work, my commute is only 15 minutes, and I have unlimited sick days.
Cons: I wish I had more creative freedom. It's challenging to design by committee; it makes me feel like my professional opinion as a designer isn't as valued as it should be. I would like more vacation days. Travel is very important to me as my family is spread out all over the country.
