Travel Nurse (RN) Reviews

What is it like working as a Travel Nurse (RN)?

March 2023
Good and fun but somehow challenging.
Travel Nurse (RN) in Houston:
Pros: Good environment and supportive people
Cons: sometimes the weather is not what am used to
June 2021
I feel like my years of experience doesn't matter. I feel like I am just a "pay source."
Travel Nurse (RN) in Cheverly:
Pros: I had longevity, due to the fact that I traveled with this company from 1991 thru 1993, and always kept in touch, even when not traveling. I even had the same recruiter, that I had back in 1993, when I started traveling again in 2016.
Cons: I feel my "worth" as a nurse of 32 years is not appreciated. I expected to make less $$, as I was at my Hospital for 20 years, before I decided to go back to "travel nursing," but I did not expect the "paycut" to be 30-50% of what I was earning.
March 2021
Nice weather, supportive staff working at TMC.
Travel Nurse (RN) in Tucson:
Pros: Great weather
Cons: Far from home, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing
February 2020
I am only 1 month in!
Travel Nurse (RN) in Los Angeles:
Pros: I like that I am in control of where I work and how I get paid.
Cons: I wish the recruiters were in touch more.
