Translator Reviews
What is it like working as a Translator?
September 2014
Need!
Translator:
Pros: I am working with policies and procedures that are needed within the industrial gases industry and all employees in all parts of the world must be aware of these policies and procedures in order to perform their jobs appropriately. I feel happy when the people that need the documents in Spanish are able to have them.
Cons: Office atmosphere tense. Aside from that I have been working as a Temp for 6 years and no other opportunities have been given to me.
March 2014
Benefits Of Having Flexible Hours.
Translator:
Pros: Translating at home gives me the opportunity of choosing how to handle the work load. I get to have flexible hours and save money because I do not have to commute.
Cons: I am a free-lance translator, so I do not have any benefits and, if the publishing house has a difficult time, I can lose my job unexpectedly. The pay is very low. Sometimes I have to accept to work on several assignments at the same time and the level of stress increases enormously.
