Technical Specialist Reviews
What is it like working as a Technical Specialist?
May 2023
Challenging work and personal growth.
Technical Specialist in Windhoek:
Pros: The work stretches me to the limits of my capacity and is very interesting. The medical aid benefits and informal environment suits me very well.
Cons: There is lack of transparency on salary scales and recognition for achievements.

Technical Specialist in Auckland:

February 2023
Like anywhere.
Technical Specialist in Cleveland:
Pros: Love the city, the people, quick-ish commute (compared to bigger cities)
Cons: People stuck in their ways, people acting like it's miserable, Cleveland area lags behind (no way would we ever get a less than 40-hour workweek)... compared to companies in more advanced cities.
October 2022
Great Relationships with Team Members - Poor Management & Pay.
Technical Specialist in Franklinville:
Pros: I like how I have flexibility in my work schedule and that I can learn more hands-on. I also love that I have an amazing team to support on the Federal side of things.
Cons: Pay - After 3 years with the company, limited by pay rates and increases in the field. Non-negotiable raises and have to fight for an increase that is considered OOC (Out Of Cycle). There are annual increases but these are drastically lower then Cost of Living and do little to nothing in the long run. I don't mean to come off as complaining about pay but I am unable to continue living off the current rate and afford college at the same time. I also can not afford to keep traveling an hour into work, and as such I must start looking else where.
August 2022
Ok, but the salary should increase as well as training should be priorotised for officers to under go.
Technical Specialist in Port Moresby:
Pros: Assisting other Divisions to fulfill their project goals
Cons: less involvement service delivery
