Technical Writing/Editing Skills.
Technical Editor:
In addition to good writing and editing skills, a technical editor must have excellent project management skills and the ability to clearly communicate schedules and deadlines. The technical editor is usually the person at the end of the line in the document cycle, which can result in very little time for review.
For large documents, it is useful to become involved during the draft stage to be able to identify sections that will require the most work and resources that may be needed (e.g., graphics specialist or document production staff).
