Systems Integration Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as a Systems Integration Analyst?

September 2020
No one up there wants to help anyone else or show then how to do a better job. They just want to go to work and leave as fast as they can.
Systems Integration Analyst in Shreveport:
Pros: These 2 guys I work with. But they already put their 2 weeks notice in because they know how this job is
Cons: The people above me dosnt seem to care and they will lie right to ur face.
October 2013
Great start but now lost & unable to find the next step up
Systems Integration Analyst:
Pros: There is no presentee- ism - working hours are flexible- it's about getting the job done not what time you get into the office. You are issued with a laptop and mobile to organise, plan and control your working week. You have to travel and every now and then you get to stay at some scenic locations. Dress code is relaxed, smart casual. People are friendly, helpful and we have had some great social events. Facilities: Great central locations in one of the greatest cities in the world- LONDON! showers, onsite cleaners, helpful office manager/receptionists. There is much to learn, fairly quick and on the job but the change in me both professionally and personally has not gone unnoticed - in a good way! Perks have eroded but the I am proud of the organisation that I work for and it's new direction is exciting.
Cons: Currently the role has a very narrow focus and does not translate well with the jobs/ products/services within the wider company. No budget has been spent on formal training for the past couple of years which is at odds with the wider company policy that includes the provision of training to invest in the employees development. This is worrying when considering a longer term career with the company and many experienced colleagues have progressed careers through opportunities outside rather than from within the organisation. The pay for recent graduates is OK. For more experienced the salary is low and and it is not comparable to the wider market. The performance ratings (linked with pay) calculated on bell curve distribution is controversial and maintains inequity & low pay. Management have an open door policy (easy in an open planned office..) yes they listen but have yet to make any noticeable changes. The job used to be more challenging- I'm doing the same role as 3 yrs ago.
