Systems Engineer, IT in Johannesburg:
Pros: I like the exposure to all different things. I am not confined to one area of IT. I get experience across all platforms with all different vendors. I enjoy the fact that every day is a new challenge for me to solve and I have the freedom to do so.
Cons: I dont like the office politics. There is no real care of staff and anything that goes wrong within the company is quickly blamed on a staff member by management, as opposed to a manager stepping in and taking ownership of the problem at hand when he/ she as the manager is clearly to blame for the problem at hand.
