Sustainability Analyst Reviews
What is it like working as a Sustainability Analyst?
February 2017
Type A city.
Sustainability Analyst in Washington:
Pros: Everyone you meet is very intelligent and engaged in current events and politics.
Cons: People are very driven and concerned about success, money, and professional/social status.
October 2014
Sustainability Analyst:
Pros: The ability to make a positive impact in the world.
Cons: High stress, low reward.
July 2014
Making The World A Better Place.
Sustainability Analyst:
Pros: The career field is very gratifying. Every day you do something that makes lives and the world a better place.
Cons: Unfortunately, it is not a field that has "sustainable" job growth. I've worked for two large companies, one with 40,000 employees worldwide, and one with 2,500 and combined they have employed 6 people related to sustainability. As students continue to pursue this trendy field, they will be disappointed to know that the jobs aren't out there, and that the pay is not worth the advanced degrees required to fully understand the science.
