Senior Pricing Analyst Summary
Sr. Pricing Analyst:
Pros: Business challenges that lead to interesting pieces of analysis which adopt new methodologies for both general and life insurance products. Training up new starters on how to program on SAS and SQL. Statistical modelling of various key performance metrics. Meeting new partners and working closely with existing contacts. A good team of supportive colleagues.
Cons: Given the monthly nature of meetings, the weeks leading up to the meetings can be stressful as there are many actions requested from various sources that all need to be done at the same time - despite best efforts of prioritising the work load. Writing up meeting minutes for a meeting where you have to present at the same time - writing minutes can take days to type and as a result shortens the time needed to complete the actions. This is not a normal requirement of a pricing analyst.
