Sr. Logistics Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as a Sr. Logistics Analyst?

November 2018
Sr. Logistics Analyst:
Good place to work, just understand that there is zero chance for advancement. After several rounds of layoffs and reorgs, the company has abandoned the value of "Developing Champions". Upper levels of management are clogged with privileged members of an 'old guard', who mostly seek to maintain the status quo. Whenever one retires, their position is usually de-graded to a lower rank, or eliminated entirely. This has caused a log-jam at the manager level, where the company is flush with youngish managers who have nowhere to go. In the rare case of a leadership role opening up, it is invariably only open to someone who came through General Mills' fast track program. If you come on board as a 'sole contributor', your career prospects are limited to occasional lateral moves within your function (very few cross functional opportunities are open to people outside of the fast track program), and raises consistent with inflation.
