Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Reviews
What is it like working as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)?
July 2020
Pediatric speech therapy.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Knoxville:
Pros: Very rewarding seeing progress in patients.
Cons: The productivity rate is expected to be 87.5% for you week.
March 2020
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in High Point:
Pros: It’s where my family is
Cons: There is a lack of parental involvement due to many factors including low SES and work schedules
January 2020
Not recommended.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Norfolk:
Pros: Medical benefits
Cons: No consistency from one school to another. Upper management downtown is clueless. Don’t feel like they put students best interest first and instead look for quickest, cheapest, easiest solution.
August 2019
Mixed Bag.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Frankfort:
Pros: Genesis HealthCare has been great about getting me enough hours so that I have consistency and money I can depend on. I get floated to other buildings, but as long as I get my hours, I am okay with that.
Cons: My direct manager is not respectful to employees. Employees get called out in front of other employees in a way that is embarrassing and reminiscent of how teachers talk to middle school aged children. Working in a SNF/Long term care facility is always somewhat stressful, but this therapy department adds a new level of stress that I have not experienced at other SNFs.
August 2019
Independent and trusted.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Ashtabula:
Pros: I set my own caseload and schedule
Cons: Productivity standards that preclude payment for some of my time
August 2019
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Slidell:
Pros: Patient-first, individualized therapy the company encourages employees to deliver.
Cons: Lack of training, transparency and organization of benefits, pay, documentation system glitches, and high productivity and workload demands of employees with little incentive to perform highly, due to being known for not offering raises and company-wide bonuses not based on merrit or individual ability.
July 2019
Awesome.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Lynchburg:
Pros: Patients and work flexibility
Cons: Giving my patients what they need. Feeling good about my services at the end of the day! Having a company that supports you.
