September 2023
I absolutely love my job. It can be trying at times but I love it.
Special Education Paraprofessional in Dexter:
Pros: Working with preschoolers
Cons: The fact that paras are seen as stay at home moms who don’t need to work when in fact a lot of us are single moms trying to work the same as our school aged children in a stressful sometimes situation. We definitely do not get paid enough for everything we do. I’m paid the same as an para but I am also a teacher’s assistant. and that’s why people quit.
