What is it like working as a Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer?
May 2017
Overall I'm glad we moved out of downtown.
Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer in Nashville:
Pros: Plenty of places to eat lunch within walking distance, covered parking that was partially paid for by the company.
Cons: Half of my commute was just getting out of downtown and onto an interstate, and I live in the next county over!
April 2017
Reasonably cheap, nice city.
Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer in Columbus:
Pros: Rent is fairly cheap, and I can live close to downtown, which is where I work. Traffic is not bad at all, and there is plenty to do.
Cons: The weather is not good all the time, but seasons are fairly mild overall.
February 2017

August 2016
One Word... AWESOME.
Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer:
Pros: I like creating something from nothing and watching it make peoples lives easier. I love seeing the stress reduce when I turnout a project that people are wanting, but not asking for because they have been told in the past that it not possible.
I love creating things, breaking them, fixing them and then trying to break them again. This is the most satisfying job I have ever had.
I enjoy coming to work everyday and making people's jobs easier. The company I work for is a big factor in that. They are a small to medium, but they treat us all very well.
Cons: What I like the least about my job is spending hours upon hours on a project. Spending countless meetings and design brainstorms to get the product to the customers specs, only to have them come back and say they want something completely different at launch time.
That is the only thing I dislike about this job.
August 2016
Work flexibility.
Software Engineer / Developer / Programmer:
Pros: That I do not have to spend there all my time.
Cons: That I have to spend there too much time.
