What is it like working as a Social Services Manager?

Social Services Manager in Layton:
It's a fairly new position with the company and the training is flawed but improving. Communication on upper management needs/wants can be confusing to navigate but again is improving. MSW Managers are expected to manage, do HR duties even though there is a full HR department, travel, cover clinics and navigate the various dashboards and trackers which can be challenging, work with the Tactical Care Team, meet company set goals. Salary is base, not yet at industry standards plus bonus which may or may not come. Many Managers are making less or just slightly above new hire direct reports but the company has vowed to bring all salaries up to standards. The company is the best in ints industry, cares about patients and employees, benefits are exceptional, leadership is proactive. Professionals are trusted to perform their jobs. New departments have unfortunately made this company top and middle heavy however has provided growth opportunity that was not there previously. Quality of care is a focus. Following CMS guidelines and upping the standards is important. No sub par will do. Leadership does put people in positions not qualified for or people not able to make decisions or delegate. This needs to change. Not all clinics run the same and should. Any employee at any level or in any position should be able to walk into any dialysis clinic in the US and perforn duties the exact same way, this is a goal of the company.
