Shop Foreman Reviews
What is it like working as a Shop Foreman?
August 2015
I wish I knew how dynamic the construction industry was.
Shop Foreman:
Figure out how your employees fit into the organization as soon as possible. Delegating is key but knowing who to delegate certain tasks to is most important. Make sure you get a good definition from upper management of what success in your job means to them. You'll be able to manage your daily activities better if you know what's expected of you. Keep your head on a swivel and make sure you know what's going on in your shop. Stay engaged with everyone's daily activities. Try to manage your stress by not procrastinating. Tackle those tough projects sooner than later. There's always another one right around the corner.
