Senior User Experience Designer Reviews
What is it like working as a Senior User Experience Designer?
September 2022
Working in Cluj-Napoca.
Senior User Experience Designer in Cluj-Napoca:
Pros: I like most working here because of the cultural diversity. The city has grown in the last 2 decades and it has diversified.
Cons: The real estate market its just crazy. Unjustified high prices that lift the cost of life far beyond any other city in Romania. Thanks to that, everything else is more expensive than in other parts of the country.
September 2022
Cosmopolitan and laidback.
Senior User Experience Designer in Montréal:
Pros: Excellent cultural atmosphere
Cons: Pay is lower than in the UX and other larger cities in Canada
August 2022
Busy and satisfying.
Senior User Experience Designer in Nelson:
Pros: Love to problem solve and I get to do that every day.
Cons: Not a lot of opportunities to advance
May 2022
Pune.
Senior User Experience Designer in Pune:
Pros: The climate, culture and people are good in pune
Cons: The commute takes longer time and hence exhausts me the most
March 2022
Mid to low UX maturity level: Engineering trumps UX too often.
Senior User Experience Designer in San Jose:
Pros: Collaborating and teamwork with other designers, all seeking to produce the best designs we can within the constraints of management prioritization and an engineering-oriented mindset.
Cons: The management and product leadership are too bound by an engineering-focused mindset rather than a design-led mindset. This keeps the UX maturity of the company low and the limits the ability of the UX team to influence product roadmaps, strategies, and drive product design, limiting UX too often to polishing poorly conceived/implemented product features and releasing features that don't solve the right problems.
November 2020
Senior User Experience Designer in New York:
Pros: The recognition of working for Google
Cons: workplace politics; lack of trust as a contractor; my direct team is a "boys club" and they constantly undermine my expertise, ideas and contributions; direct management attempts to discourage cross-collaboration and access to key project stakeholders which leaves me not involved or able to collaborate effectively in the way my role should work.
July 2020
Give and take.
Senior User Experience Designer in Singapore:
Pros: Employees in singapore are well protected by government organisations - foreign and locals
Cons: Overtime is considered a norm, working over the weekends is given.
