Always Be Learning And Helping Others.
Senior Software Architect:
Humility and compassion are underrated in this field. Your colleagues will invariably have more exposure to certain technologies than you, so embrace that. Even though you might have the final say in technology choices, it is best to share knowledge and let team members contribute the best they have to offer, or at least explain your choices and give them every opportunity to become as productive as possible with new technologies. A leader describes what to do without needing to control how it is done. It is a sign of insecurity when one programmer feels the need to outshine another. Confident professionals help each other and exchange ideas freely to the betterment of the project at hand. Before knowing, there is always not knowing. It is best to raise everyone's understanding to a consistent level. A team member can only take ownership of a deliverable if he feels his contribution is valued. Take time to communicate and encourage each other.
