Senior Research Associate Reviews
What is it like working as a Senior Research Associate?
September 2019
Flexible working but underpaid.
Senior Research Associate in Atlanta:
Pros: I like that I am able to work around my preferred schedule and there is not a lot of micro-managing
Cons: I do not like that the career progression is not transparent and neither is my salary
August 2019
A constantly evolving experience.
Senior Research Associate in Seattle:
Pros: I like the ability to manage my own projects and improve any process as necessary. I also like being viewed as an asset to the company in general.
Cons: I would like the research department to be larger so I could work on a bigger team.
May 2019
Senior Research Associate in Chicago:
I love the work that I do. It is really mission driven and the clients are wonderful. However there are some things to consider.
- low pay and little opportunities for professional growth.
- micromanagement behaviors that can at time hinder progress for substantial feedback and change.
- the company is seriously lacking in diverse. All but one in senior management are white, females. The only male is white. The company wants diversity but has not made any sincere, geniune, front facing efforts to diversify.
Aside from some questionable work personalities, the work and the people are great. I really believe in CAEL's mission and I am excited to see how it moves going forward.

November 2018

Pros: Tons of young professionals, lots to do after work, vibrant social life, free museums / activities
