Pros: You can define your own research projects to a certain extent, and can also be doing industry-type work through external consulting contracts. There is a very relaxed approach to dress code and people are mostly relaxed and friendly.
Cons: Unsupportive and obstructive HR, limited funding and resources, and tonnes of unnecessary bureaucracy and brick walls hamper good research and contract opportunities.

Pros: The product - One of the best application to work for a Java server side developer. It is an Identity management system which authenticates its clients using Oauth protocol. It provides Single Sign-On facility to it's clients. Very reputed company. Exciting Product to work on. Complex and challenging code to understand. Highly scalable application. Freedom to bring in your own idea, discuss it with others and implement them. Everyone in the team listens to you. Lot of opportunity to learn technology. Good work-life balance.
Cons: Company itself is on a decline and future looks very bleak. No road map defined for the near future.
