Senior Managing Scientist Reviews
What is it like working as a Senior Managing Scientist?
February 2015
Senior Scientist, Practice Partner, Consultant, Manager.
Senior Managing Scientist:
Pros: The people I work with are great - great people and great professionals.
The corporate culture is really nice, collegial, lots of opportunities for professional development, established mentorship program.
Hours are somewhat flexible as we sometimes have to work evenings or weekends to complete a project within deadlines. A bit of give and take and a culture of trust.
Company core values are very strong and resonate with my own.
Benefits package is great, work life balance is sincerely encouraged by managers. Health and safety of our people is a top priority.
Cons: Consulting jobs, especially when associated with Managing/Leadership positions can be very stressful.
You may have to wear 10 different hats in a single day - operations manager, people's manager, client relationship manager, senior technical consultant, project technical director, senior scientist reviewer, partner (owner).
