I supervise over 40 inmates in the Industries Building at my prision.
Senior Corrections Officer in Charleston:
Pros: The pay.
Cons: Working forced overtime every day of the week some 17 hour days , having to sleep in my car because of the late nights because the drive home is over an hour away. I usually only get to see my wife when i get home if i only have to work a 12 hour shift. Not getting to see my wife if i have to work a 17 hour day.

Be to work on time and stay as late as you are needed. Tutor new hires and help them to learn the trade and how to work safely. Answer any and all questions when asked for help.
