You will need to understand technologies like LTE, UMTS, CDMA EVDO/1xRTT so you can understand to debug modem logs. Also, a lot of patience talking with customers and making them understand the issue. You will need to completely understand the issue and push back when necessary since all customers will blame it on the modem when a majority of times the issue is in their host device.
