Somewhat average pay, communication with upper management difficult.
Security Supervisor in Jupiter:
Pros: I have to say that I probably have one of the easiest sites at my company, very laid back environment with average-ish pay. (The best you can probably get for a security guard in a "right to work" state.)
Cons: Unfortunately, even now in a management position myself, it can be very frustrating and difficult to get answers from high up's. Alot of times questions may just go entirely unanswered. For example, I was due a months worth of back-pay that took them over half a year to finally START processing and get back to me, which in technically illegal (google withheld wages). Only after I made mention of filing a complaint with the DoL did i get an answer/process started. It felt like often little things that could be easily done to benefit both the average officer, that would then in turn benefit the client, would not be done or would be ignored. Makes things really difficult on the site captains that have to then bear the weight of whatever issues arise on their shoulders for less pay than their superiors.
March 2019
Good luck getting your needs met no matter how dedicated you are.
Security Supervisor in Vancouver:
Pros: My officers and the client. The site I work at is amazing.
Cons: Everything with the lack of support and legal compliance standards from Branch. I have to teach them how to retain documents and follow real procedures. No simple guidance. I have worked to get everything up to compliance and branch could care less if we are following legal obligations to our client and seem shocked when I try and advise we follow up to get to compliance standards.
March 2019
Hard when you working outside due to the element.
Security Supervisor in Atlanta:
Pros: The culture
Cons: The weather
March 2019
Rough city.
Security Supervisor in Albuquerque:
Pros: The commute to and from work isn't bad. However, the specific area that I work in is the "bad side" of town, making security a much more dangerous job than it would be in other areas of the city.
Cons: The specific area that I work in is the "bad side" of town, making security a much more dangerous job than it would be in other areas of the city.
March 2019
It's sometimes dangerous but controllable with the help or check outs of SAPS.

Cons: None
