Security is a business issue. To be effective you must be able to communicate the business value of security initiatives. In addition to being technically competent, you must have good written and verbal communications skills.

Pros: I like the environment, people and flexibility to do my job. I get to learn new technologies.
Cons: Cannot get the tools to do the job. Jobs are never planned out, unreasonable timelines. Worst on boarding I have ever seen zero training.
