Keep an open mind and be tolerant.
Security Administrator, IT:
Manage your stress by letting go of the petty things, imagined slights, etc - and always speak up when you feel you see something that doesn't feel quite right or you don't understand what is being shown / said. Do not be afraid to ask questions when you don't know something - how else will you learn if you don't ask questions?
Also, if you aren't happy with the situation you face, daily tasks, etc - bring it to your direct manager as a professional-to-professional discussion in a constructive manner.
Lastly, any conversation should be constructive - always be ready with a construction of a solution to offset the possible negative conversation pieces. That way, you will not be branded as the 'negative' guy / girl - you'll be hailed as 'that person who always has something constructive to say'.
