What They Don't Tell You About Becoming an SEO Manager.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager:
It's all about managing process and people. To be a good manager in SEO, you'll be wearing multiple hats - from being a Specialist on specific accounts, to managing how the department operates, to being a mentor for the team, there will always be work.
To excel at leadership, be willing to follow daily. Listen to your people - if you don't feel like they're worth listening to, build them up. If they present excellent ideas, use them. If their ideas require a bit of cleanup, help them realize their goals if they make the system work fluidly.
Above all, ensure that if something happens to you, that your team members can step up and fill in the holes.
