Resident Assistant Reviews

What is it like working as a Resident Assistant?

December 2015
Rewarding.
Resident Assistant:
Pros: I love getting to spend time with the residents each day. Doing morning exercises, Trivia and Sing A Longs, and my favorite is baking.
Cons: The pay. Getting mandated when someone calls off. Pricey health insurance.
October 2015
Rewarding.
Resident Assistant:
Pros: Being the lead RA.
Cons: Not have Monday thru Friday.
June 2015
Resident Assistant:
Pros: Most of the residents are nice.
Cons: Bad management. They just wants money from residents. They dont really care about quality of patient care rendered and staffs are treated as if we are animals by letting 2 people only to working for almost 25 residents having said that most residents need to be transferred to high care.
May 2014
A Memorable Experience.
Resident Assistant:
Pros: Being able to care for others who cannot always help themselves. Every day is a challenge, but seeing my residents smiling faces when I come in to work knowing they depend on me as the one who will oversee their day makes it a pleasure to undergo all the strenuous duties I perform.
Cons: Not getting to spend more time with the residents and not getting to talk to them because I have so many other things to take care of. Dishes, serving 3 meals, washing and drying laundry and putting it away, taking out the trash. It's all so time consuming that it takes me away from them.
