January 2019
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
I work for Map of Life at Yale University. It started out as a good job where I could grow, but I've learned very few useful skills, management is incredibly demeaning and unethical, and my supervisor has no managerial skills. I was promised a full time job of 37.5 hours a week, and when I got my contract, it outlined almost half of that. When I questioned what this meant, they said I was still expected to work 37.5 hours a week even though I was being paid for half. When talking to HR, they made a solution to the financial aspect of this problem, but did nothing to resolve the toxic work environment.
December 2018

December 2018
Research Associate (Unspecified Type):
If you're junior, it's extremely bureaucratic and you get little to no stock benefits. Health insurance good, but leadership doesn't care about you. Hard to get a raise despite merit. You get more perks in Chicago, but the California site has favoritism for low performers. You feel like you aren't doing enough because those who receive praise are the low performers. They are a super stingy company and remote option is limited compared to other competitions.
December 2017
Low salary and limited opportunity for advancement.
