Reimbursement Analyst Reviews

What is it like working as a Reimbursement Analyst?

Help us bring in the money and increase your responsibilities if we ask, just do not expect more pay.
Reimbursement Analyst in Augusta:
Pros: I love my team that i work with on a day to day basis. My direct manager and director are blessings. They provide me flexibility and instill trust in me to get the job done. They praise me for my success and they provide me with constructive criticism for things i need improvement on. I have learned alot from them the past three years. I also genuinely enjoy what i do. I love discovering the reason for variances and i love having the ability to bring in more money to the hospital that serves majority of the indigent population.
Cons: I do not like the lack of communication between departments. I do not like that my employer is willing to let someone go that is wonderful at their job due to the simple fact they question decisions made by the executive leadership. I also don't like that some directors are simply power hungry leaders that delegate and only concern themselves with padding their own pockets. The wrong people are held accountable for poor leadership and that is a shame. My employer also fails to incentivize its employees. I will be in the same position for four years without a single raise and yet my responsibilities have increased. I am also obtaining my Masters degree. It is very discouraging to bust your tail and never receive recognition from executive leaders. It is simple... you take care of your employees and your employees will take care of you. I believe our turn-over rate speaks for itself.
