Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room Reviews
What is it like working as a Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room?
August 2020
Pros and Cons to working at TBHC.
Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room in Brooklyn:
Pros: What I like most about my job is the people and the staff; in saving one life a day and having the support of my colleagues I know I have selected the right profession to work in.
Cons: I don't like that there are always issues with space, equipment, supplies, EMR, and lack of communication. I am from Brooklyn and enjoy what I do a great deal but when you work for an organization that does not value staff, especially there nurses that makes me furious. To work for an organization that shows little to no regard or appreciation for there nursing staff at all even during nurses week is why so many nurses leave and the ones who stay have been there forever. I have been at TBHC for 3 years now and have had four managers, 2 ADN's and two CEO's. The culture in the ED is horrific, you have to fight for growth and opportunity and when you defend yourself you are labeled and black-balled. I dislike the culture and the way management has run the ED. The ED is the gateway into the hospital and the nurses who work so hard everyday should be treated better.

February 2020

Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room in Mineral Wells:

January 2020
Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room in Mesa:
I've worked at Banners busiest ER in AZ for years now. The director is career driven and makes changes in order to benefit her career and puts the needs of the department second. It's sad that it's not even standard practice to have debriefings after patient deaths for the wellbeing of staff. You learn a lot but at the cost of compassion fatigue.
