Recreational Specialist Reviews
What is it like working as a Recreational Specialist?
December 2018
Working with adult clients in a recreational day program setting.
Recreational Specialist in Centerport:
Pros: Rewarding, great way to increase communication skills, freedom in working on your own and creating new actives for the clients to enjoy.
Cons: the unprofessionalism of the higher ups, when a situation arises like for example bed bug infestation the problem does not get resolved easily, sadly the clients have to live in these conditions and the house owners who do not care for the well being of the clients. Also the low pay given to current employees is extremely low and the higher ups are all the same religion. All of them are Hasidic Jews, the current employees there are all women so they have very little respect for us.
September 2015
Low pay for graduate.
Recreational Specialist:
Pros: The job it's self is easy no stress job laid back atmosphere.
Cons: Not the best pay for graduate , very repetitive, no promotional prospects, cleaning a lot of cleaning.
