Records Analyst Reviews
What is it like working as a Records Analyst?
October 2021
I enjoy what I do. Never not busy.
Records Analyst in Wichita:
Pros: You are never dealing with the same issues everyday. I really enjoy the staff I work with.
Cons: What I like least about my job is that some staff don't do their job to the best of their ability. i work with medical records and I do not see the patients or deal with the staff directly. I pick up the paperwork and then get it ready to scan. When i receive the paperwork, it should have the patients name and dob on it. Sometimes it does not and I have to take it back to the nurses or front desk staff to figure out who the patient is.

Rewarding.
Records Analyst in Atlanta:
Pros: The fact that I was allowed to create my own system for researching, locating and distributing files
Cons: I am never recognized for my endeavors and what I have done

The work at VDOT is challenging and can be rewarding.
Records Analyst in New York:
Pros: The work is challenging and the field I like
Cons: Management, support and fairness.
April 2017
Plenty of opportunity, but traffic is a nightmare.
Records Analyst in Houston:
Pros: Between Nasa, the Medical Center (massive 7 hospital cluster, with some of the best doctors/medical teams in the world), & the oil & gas industry, there's a ton of opportunity around.
Cons: Even though I live less than 1 mile from a major freeway, & only 11 minutes from downtown, when it's rush hour, that same "11 minute" drive can easily take 30-45 minutes. My current commute requires I go North into downtown, then West, away from downtown for just about the same distance. Morning or evening, traffic on the west side is always a nightmare!
