Pros: The thing I like the most about my job is that everyday is different. Some days are busier than others. With the purchasing coordinator role, I get the interact with all my co workers, and not just certain areas. In addition, I get a better insight of all the aspects of my company and not just one side.

Purchasing Coordinator:
Able to juggle different priorities. Able to handle all aspects of the job which includes consumables purchasing and producing RFP's and RFQ's for the organization right to the contract between the organization and the vendor. Must be able to have professional conduct as outlined in the Code of Ethics. Knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures, tendering law and trade agreements. Must be proficient with MS Office applications and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to deal with all levels of personnel within the organization as well as outside the organization in a professional manner. Membership with either SCMA or NIGP.
