Public Relations (PR) Associate Reviews
What is it like working as a Public Relations (PR) Associate?
April 2019
Lots of opportunity, but lots of competition.
Public Relations (PR) Associate in Austin:
Pros: I like that we have access to cool Austin things. It's a good city for after-work culture building. Many businesses care about environmental and community causes.
Cons: No matter how much you're paid, living is going to be ridiculously expensive. Commute time is a real issue due to traffic unless you live close to work. There is a lot of competition for jobs, so employers can kind of undercut pay because they know the person will probably just take it.
August 2017
Working in NYC.
Public Relations (PR) Associate in New York:
Pros: Fast paced, access to a lot of resources, get to work with really smart, driven people, feel connected to the rest of the world.
Cons: Hate commuting, sometimes it's too fast paced, a lot of pressure.
