Not much opportunities for pay increase.
Too much politics at the upper level management.

Pros: I work with like-minded individuals who solve complex problems on the cutting edge of software, every day.
Cons: The pay is rather minimal, stretching across all positions. This is supposed to be a tradeoff for a startup atmosphere.

Knowing the technical components of software development is not enough to become a project manager. You need to know techniques and processes and above all, you need people skills.

Cons: 1) Very low or no Recognition within organization.

Pros: We have a flexible time-ins ranging from 9am-10am.
I only answer to 1 boss.
I am able to manage people I know well, given that we're a small team.
Pay is relatively better than game dev.
Cons: Corporate Culture is not yet defined.
We have a high fatality rate, people are just leaving after a few months.
Customers hate the product.
No transparency and ran by tyrannical admins.
