Think Strategically plan methodically do continually.
Project Manager, Construction:
Ask questions do not pretend to know if you don't. Do the 1%ers. Plan using experts in their field. Undertake comprehensive risk management. Understand your budget and track costs methodically. Challenge things if it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't. Always ask for the facts and ask for proof. Understand who the decision makers are and develop good relationships where possible. Understand their drivers and proactively provide them with the information they need from you, if they have to ask you for it you aren't doing your job. Set firm boundaries with your team and management, respectfully. Always keep an eye on the end game. Leave work at work or it will eat you. Exercise, play sport, play, paint or whatever it is that relaxes you. Take holidays.
